Our Story

How a personal loss inspired a platform that now helps thousands of families worldwide.

The Inspiration

In 2022, our founder Eleanor Vance lost her grandfather, a WWII veteran and beloved family patriarch. The funeral was small, but relatives across the globe couldn’t attend. She created a simple webpage with photos and stories so everyone could contribute.

The response was overwhelming. Distant cousins, old friends, and even strangers who had served with him left messages, photos, and memories. That digital space became a source of comfort and connection long after the funeral.

Founded in 2023
With a mission to bring dignity and connection to digital remembrance.

Eleanor teamed up with Marcus Chen (tech) and Sophie Rivers (design) to build a platform that could scale this experience to anyone, anywhere.
