How payment works
After filling in your memorial details, you will be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Once payment is confirmed, your memorial is activated immediately. We never store card details.

Virtual Candles & Flowers
You and your visitors can leave a candle or flower as a small gesture of remembrance. These are optional extras — choose a duration that feels right.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a one-time payment?
Yes. The £49 memorial fee is a one-time payment. There are no monthly subscriptions or renewal fees for the memorial itself.
How does payment work?
After you fill in the memorial details, you are taken to a secure Stripe-hosted checkout page. Once payment is complete, your memorial goes live immediately. We never store your card details.
What happens after I pay?
Your memorial is activated straight away. You will be taken to your new memorial page where you can upload photos, videos, and manage all the content.
Can family and friends leave messages?
Yes. Visitors can sign the guestbook — leaving messages, photos, and virtual candles or flowers — without needing to pay anything themselves, unless they choose to leave a candle or flower gift.
Can I add virtual candles or flowers later?
Yes. You and your visitors can add virtual candles or flowers at any point after the memorial is live. Each one is a small optional purchase with a duration you choose.
What does "Forever" mean for candles and flowers?
It means the candle or flower will remain on the memorial for as long as The Memorial Garden operates. We do not promise literal perpetuity, but we are committed to maintaining all memorials for the foreseeable future. Please see our Terms of Service for full details.
Can I make a memorial private?
Yes. When creating your memorial you can choose to make it private (only visible to you) or unlisted (accessible only by direct link). Public memorials appear in the browseable graveyard.
Do you offer refunds?
